Anchorage Association for the Education of Young Children

The Week of the Young Child is held each year to honor young children and thank teachers and all those who make a difference in young   children’s lives.

 

Many programs throughout the state offered activities to celebrate the WOYC including a Creative Activities Fair, April 11th, hosted by the   University of Alaska Anchorage Early Childhood Program and Anchorage Parks & Recreation; a Family Fair hosted by Anchorage AEYC and Anchorage City Church; and a Children’s Fair in Kodiak  both on April 18th.  If your program/home celebrated with an activity we’d love to share photos/information with our membership.  Email information to us at MissC5488@aol.com and we’ll include in our next newsletter and on our website!  Mark your calendar now for Week of the Young Child 2010—April

Text Box: Here’s an easy way to help Anchorage AEYC raise funds while you’re shopping. Anchorage AEYC is now enrolled in the eScrip Program. eScrip is a fundraising program that allows participating merchants to contribute a percentage of your grocery loyalty cards, credit card and a debit/ATM card purchases to the school or organization of your choice. The eScrip program brings an unprecedented ease of use and many other advantages to fundraising programs — it’s the best vehicle for simple, year-round fundraising. To sign up and help Anchorage AEYC raise funds visit: www.escrip.com. Our group name is Anchorage AEYC and our group ID is: 500022006. How does eScrip work? • Supporters register any or all of their existing grocery loyalty, debit and credit cards for use in the program. • Participating national, regional and local merchants will make contributions to Anchorage AEYC, based on purchases made by supporters, who use their registered grocery loyalty, debit and credit cares. • By using these registered cards at participating merchants, supporters generate donations based on a percentage of purchases as determined by each merchant or service provider. • Every month the enrolled organizations receive all merchant contributions made on behalf of all participants.
