Anchorage Association for the Education of Young Children

EVERY SPRING early childhood educators and programs use the 

WEEK OF THE YOUNG CHILD

(WOYC) to highlight the importance of quality care and education for young children.  It’s an annual   opportunity to reach out to families and communities and to emphasize the crucial role adults play in giving children the foundation they need to succeed in school and beyond. 

This year’s theme is

EARLY YEARS ARE LEARNING YEARS.

You can use this theme to promote the importance 

of early childhood education.
